Adverse Childhood Experience (ACES) refer to toxic stress created by poverty, violence, crisis, or family dysfunction that can have a major impact on learning in children and can also manifest as chronic disease in adulthood. ACES affect all races, income and ethnic groups. Dr. Burke Harris is one of the most sought after speakers in the country on this subject.

We are striving to build a community in which all can thrive, particularly the youngest among us, creating conditions that enable our youngest children to succeed in school and in life. As a stakeholder, you can help us build community understanding, and help foster action on this critical issue.  Please join us! Click here for more information.

POW! WOW! Worcester

POW! - It's the impact that art has on a person. WOW! - It's reaction that art has on a viewer. Together they form POW! WOW!, which is a Native American term that describes a gathering that celebrates culture, music and art.

Now through September 3, POW! WOW! Worcester is hosting a marquee event to strengthen community engagement and regional tourism. Centered around a week-long event that includes gallery shows, lecture series, mural projects, concerts, and live art installations, POW! WOW! brings international and local artists together to create murals and other forms of art. The festival has visited cities and destinations such as Taiwan, Long Beach, Hawaii, D.C. and now in it's second year, Worcester!
